Okay, that’s not a tick up there 🙂 It’s just for a little humor & for demonstration. Don’t you love Ticks? I am sure you are like most people on this planet and despise them. Thinking of ticks crawling and feasting on your body is enough to scare the living daylights out of someone.
Let’s give you the right information here:
Ticks are small arachnids in the order Parasitiformes. Along with mites, they constitute the subclass Acarina. Ticks are ectoparasites (externalparasites), living by hematophagy on the blood of mammals, birds, and sometimes reptiles and amphibians. Ticks are vectors of a number of diseases, including Lyme disease, Q fever (rare; more commonly transmitted by infected excreta), Colorado tick fever, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, African tick bite fever, tularemia, tick-borne relapsing fever, babesiosis, ehrlichiosis, Tick paralysis, and tick-borne meningoencephalitis, as well as bovineanaplasmosis. Wo!! To know that they are ugly creatures that like to feed on you is one thing but knowing what they can transmit, is so much worse.
Did you read about all those diseases? Nasty stuff I tell ya!
This is why I decided to post this blog to help prevent from this ever happening to you. One day a good friend introduced me to the Tick Key. What a very simple tool but its effectiveness for what it does is amazing.
Now I know we all have our little tricks and homemade tools. Sometimes we try and burn them out or simply just use a credit card. Now the problem with this is that most of the time as we use these procedures the little parasite can still have the time to throw up its poison into your system.
For this not to happen they have to be taken out in a manner that they do not have time to do it. The Tick Key does that well. It’s like having the right trap for the right animal.
Here is a VIDEO (It’s not the best and its certainly not in HD but will give you an idea) showing how to use it, that I found it on the internet.
The most common disease that the ticks will transmit is Lime disease. Now I am no doctor and I will not pretend that I know everything about this disease because I don’t. The one thing that I do know is that once you have it, your life can become a nightmare. I know this because I have a friend who has it.
If you are interested in learning more of the disease here is a link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lyme_disease
Now if you have taken the time to read the information, there are a few things that are not mentioned like:
Yes it can be treated but sometimes it will always stay with you. Which means you need to be treated all the time. Also it will not tell you that once in a while it will make you faint when you least expect it (don’t want this to happen while you’re driving!) and it also does not tell you that it causes you to lose some serious memory. How do I know all this? Well, just ask my friend who has had it for years.
Now back to the Tick Key. This is cheap to buy, so small (2.52″ in length and 1.5″ at its widest point) that you don’t even know it’s there (can be put on your key chain) it is a great prevention for this awful disease to come into your life and the ones you love. BE PREPARED and protect yourself with the right tool!!
